Papers, 1976-1982.

The collection contains photocopies of articles, publications, and sections of publications, as well as bibliographical notes, handwritten notes, correspondence, and microfilm relating to Perry's research for his dissertation on art patronage in colonial Mexico. Much of the material focuses on Bishop Juan de Palafox y Mendoza and the Cathedral at Puebla, Mexico. Also included is a copy of Perry's master's thesis, The Altars of La Merced in Guatemala City: with an emphasis on stylistic analysis and some related notes. There is some material pertaining to Perry's tenure at the University of New Mexico. Contains dissertation, thesis and other writtings of Angel Julían García Zambrano. Photocopies of articles, publications, and segments of publications dominate the contents of Box 1. Perry's own research, notes, papers, and correspondence begin at the end of Box 1, and continue into Box 2. Box 2 also contains a small box of bibliographic index cards, and three reels of microfilm. Folder labels reflect those used by Perry, although there has been some modification for clarity. The number/letter codes were apparently related to Perry's internal filing system.
